It was her fourth time in Costa Rica.
The shells, as she's discovered,
travel well, and serve for sand castle use
on her Minnesota lake.

Surfer Shannon is a Hawaii native, a mom, and a wife. She came to Costa Rica about 15 years ago. When we met, her dogs had just recovered from tick fever, which Shannon said is common in Costa Rica. They were feeling spunky. Meanwhile, Shannon was surfing high tide, which occurred around 7.00 a.m. this day.
