Port Huron, the seat of St. Clair County, bills itself as Maritime Capital of the Great Lakes.
 
The city has more than 30,000 residents. Thomas Edison grew up here.
 
A festival was in progress when we arrived, with ice carving, a chili cookoff, and snowmobile drag races.
